Yeah, poor fighters always having to clank around in heavy armor because DODGING attacks is stupid.

Defensive Fighting: The character fights protecting his weak or open spots, he gains +2 to AC but suffer a -4 to attacks. Fighters ho use this option get a +4 to AC while only suffering a -2 to attacks.
Or
Parry: The character can move part of his total attack bonus to his AC at a (choose ratio). Fighters get a +2 extra bonus or a modified ratio...
For other kinds of maneuvers I let Fighters to make an attack roll against a difficulty or with a -3 if they want to combine the maneuver with the attack (and the attack must still be successful or nothing happens), for non-fighters I impose a -3/-6 penalty on the same situations...
Or
