Re: NPC's, Adventures, and Levels
Well this topic has adventure in the title so good enough place as any.
So anyone here have any specific method of writing adventures. Its been a long time since I wrote anything in advance I usually just improvise or use pre-made adventures. Sort of curious as to what other people do.

Its an art not a science. But dangit art is hard...
Re: NPC's, Adventures, and Levels
I found this RPG called Instant Game. It has all these random charts for settings and campaigns. I use the charts to create the 'seed' of the adventure. Usually I'll make it and then go to bed and just run it through my head until an adventure percolates. I then will either create the map or if I am feeling frisky, run a random dungeon generator to get the basics of dungeon and tweak it more to my liking. Its how I came up with Taming the Flames and the Lost Tome..

That sounds like a good method. My problem at this point is putting words to paper. Maybe I will take a look at what you have made for ideas on how much is too much and so on and so forth. Thanks Dymondy.

dymond, do you have a link for that? I tried doing a search and found some references to it but the website seems to have disappeared.
The problem with doing something really stupid to impress people is that they may just be impressed by how stupid you really are.

No problem Blaze. Took me forever to find it on my own.

Glad you guys found it.. Its an interesting concept.. I just like the random charts.. Sometimes just having that little nugget of an idea is enough to get my brain flowing.
