Duergar and crossbows go together like peanut butter and jelly in my mind. I can't conceive one without the other. Same with them wielding two-handed hammers.
I mostly base my duergar off of the Dark Iron dwarves from Warcraft. They are not so different from duergar in D&D truth be told.
