Happy Father's Day!!

Children are an incredible gift and an awesome responsibility! Let's never forget that.

One of my dad's favorite sayings was "Kids, kids, great invention!"

On a related note has anyone seen the movie Courageous? It's an incredibly moving story and will give you a new outlook on fatherhood.

And what better way to spend Father's Day than gaming all afternoon with my kids!! :D
The problem with doing something really stupid to impress people is that they may just be impressed by how stupid you really are.

After speaking with my dad for a few hours today, I think, after 20 years, my father (an elder at our family church, damn good enough to be a minister - but afraid to get ordained) might actually be interested in this whole roleplaying thing. Apparently, me playing D&D in the 199Xs, and still playing it in the 201Xs and as a married man living out on his own and studying to become a teacher and made him think there may be some merit to this passtime.

Mother is still kinda holding onto the bad publicity from back before I started with it.
Characters:
Himamura Jin (Night Wizard; Level 6 Great One/Level 1 Caster)
Benjamin d'Aide (BFRPG; level 5 cleric of the virtue of Sacrifice) - recurring hireling turned pseudo-DMPC

That sounds very cool. I can honestly say that I have never met anyone who 'hated' gaming after actually giving it a shot... a few "meh" but never a hate. What a great way to reconnect and build bonds.

My father's day was great. Being a daddy is the best thing, I love it.
I was sitting drinking a Guinness watching my four little girls eat ice cream:

Then my 10yo (who just had major surgery, but you wouldn't know it) talked about wanting to take her newly rolled up Ranger through UK5... ah, such a happy daddy!!!! We didn't get a chance to play, but we will, and it was fun talking about it!!
I enjoy BFRPG dungeons. And played Will Thornton in Dirigible of Doom!
