Using BFRPG system in software

Post Sun Jun 10, 2012 9:50 pm

Hello!

I was looking for quite some time for free pen-and-paper RPG system to use in my CRPG game.
So i have a question is it allowed to use BFRPG system in software and if it is are there any restrictions?
I've read Open Game Lisence, but my understanding of lawyer english is really poor

Sorry if this kind of question is inappropriate and for my not so good english.

Kind Regards,

I would be inclined to say that it would be OK with proper crediting and permissions, but you should hold out for what Solomoriah (Chris Gonnerman) has to say about it. My legalese is not so good either, especially as your question crosses over to different media.
Is it really the end, not some crazy dream?

The rules are Open Game Content; if you comply with the OGL, you can use them all. The name, though, is protected under the OGL; before I'll allow it to be used, I'll need a pretty clear explanation of how you plan to use it.

If you plan to sell (or rent) your software, there's no way I'll allow the use of the name. Just a head's up there.
