Generic Class or Classes
So I have been thinking about maybe making some sort of generic class or classes that could more or less fill most roles. I only have a few ideas so I thought what everyone else here thinks about such an idea. I guess the main purpose is to retain a level and experience based game while replacing the idea of "classes" with something a bit more open and free form.
Re: Generic Class or Classes
I think Solo's Project X (something, I cannot remember) is more point based where one can pick and choose abilities free form... but I have not really looked into it.
Otherwise, check GURPS for ideas as well.

Is it really the end, not some crazy dream?

Thanks Smoot. I have just been on a sort of kick lately looking into other ways of doing things in game. By far the biggest item on my list is trying to replace combat with conflict. Verbal and mind warfare as it were. Where you don't necessarily need to beat your enemy into a bloody pulp to win a battle. A lot harder than I originally thought it was going to be!
