Illusionist Supplement

Been doing a lot of review and editing/proofing lately.

As I was going through Illusionist Supplement, I notice that the spell "Phantom Messenger" is not included on the spell lists and there is no level notation in the spell description. Anyone have any idea what the Spell Level should be, perhaps from the original material that the spell was ported over from?

Further research finds similar spells for Clerics, Druids, etc. (from 2e lists that I can find) as 2nd level (Animal Messenger, animal sphere). Previously I made a Fey-Mage version of this same spell as a Third level spell (Sidhe Messenger)... and I believe the blank spot in the Spell Listing was intended to be filled by this spell.

Given that this is from a 2nd level divine spell, being instead cast by a Arcane caster, I think the 3rd level spot is best (but open to alternative opinions)... just seems like the appropriate spot after some deductive effort.

Thoughts?

Phantom Messenger should be 3rd level. It's based on my spell "Alderon's Messenger" from my old 2E campaign, which is in turn inspired by the Chronicles of Amber books. Corwin's version works differently, as it's not so much a spell as a Pattern ability.

It seemed appropriate there. Good to get confirmation and the actual roots.
