I was crafting some scripts for my fillable character sheets tonight and came across a possible error in the core rules. In the Thief's Saving Throws table the Magic Wands column jumps from 12 at levels 10-11 to 10 at levels 12-13.
I'm guessing it should be 11 at levels 12-15, 10 at levels 16-19, and 9 at level 20.
Has anyone else noticed this and is this an error or is that the way it should be?

Possible error in Core Rules
The problem with doing something really stupid to impress people is that they may just be impressed by how stupid you really are.

This isn't an error as such; the progression agrees with my original mathematics. However, if you want to stick with strictly 5% (1 in 20) advancement, change the save for levels 12-13 to 11.

1E Combat tables did that skipping thing a lot, although the Fighter attack table had a notation about 5% (+1) per level being an option. Personally, I like incremental increase better, as it gives something each level (or at least more often)... but on the other hand, some might prefer the jump in abilities more, to avoid having to micromanage their character sheet so often.Solomoriah wrote:This isn't an error as such; the progression agrees with my original mathematics. Looking it over, it appears to be the only place in all those tables where I let the math rule over the incremental advancement. Though I still don't consider it "wrong" I might actually change it in a 3rd Edition, if I ever get such a ruleset written.

Just add it to that massive list of errata/changes for BFRPGSolomoriah wrote:Looking it over, it appears to be the only place in all those tables where I let the math rule over the incremental advancement. Yeah, well, unless someone ELSE is keeping track of that list, there isn't much of one out there.

About the only thing I can remember is that the Stench was left off the Troglodyte. But I think there is a thread or two here discussing a few other really minor things.Solomoriah wrote:Yeah, well, unless someone ELSE is keeping track of that list, there isn't much of one out there.
