Your setting stuff is looking great. I hope you decide to compile your material together into an actual Supplement. An alternate setting is really IMO, exactly what BFRPG needs to expand the audience a little bit more.
Since you are doing a Japan-esque setting, perhaps Kitsune (fox folk), Kappa, and a Bakemono-styled race can be included... or are you doing 'all human'?
Is it really the end, not some crazy dream?

This will be a full supplement with all new art and at least two adventures for the setting. Because I am an overachieving d-bag sometimes. Even my wife is on for some art.

The races I'm planning;
Human
Korobokuru (jungle dwarves)
A catfolk race yet to have a proper japanese name researched for it
Usitora (lesser oni; i.e. orc equivalent)
Hengeyokai (animals given power due to a long life, special deed or special birth, this includes things like Inugami, Kitsune and Nekomata)
Ningyo (basically merfolk)
Spirit Folk (half-human half nature spirits)

Bakemono, Bakeneko, Tengu and Kappa are reserved for monstrous roles.

No intended insult over Kappa, your race is nice and all. I just don't feel right using them for this setting, since they do not conform to the myths and legends related to the evil little guys all that well.

I actually modeled them after Tortles (of Mystara), but I had to come up with another name. Kappa was the closest thing I could come up with... so yeah, I get you on that.

Please tell me you are keeping all those wonderful little bizarre facets of the myths. Being polite and carrying cucumbers will save your life, you know.

It is looking good. There is a demand of Japan styled settings in games that have been recruiting for players in various forums. I normally don't run or play in them but that is because I can never do that type of setting justice.

How much are you going to detail? Just classes and races or are you planning on creating an actual campaign world also?
Knights of the Written Word 2 is a friendly Roll20 community created for those that prefer written text games or have difficulty with voice games (for physical, mental, emotional, or technical reasons).

Well, lets hope my The Shining Empires Campaign Setting helps you in that regard.

Converting the core fore and a half a dozen or so of the expanded classes I like, two new classes, the above races, some new spells and magic items, a whole new weapon and armor list, new monsters, notes for using existing monsters, Honor rules, a fully fleshed out island empire that hopefully can be dropped into most settings wholesale, two (or more) adventures set in that setting, and a table of further setting appropriate adventure hooks.

Yes, but not this... Japan is weird.
