A5-sized BFRPG book

Post by gabeprime »

Hello. I’ve been asked a few times the question of how did I make my A5-sized (digest sized) version of the BFRPG book.

Thought I’d share it here.

On my Mac, I open the BFRPG pdf and then “print” it. In the print options, I select the paper size to be A5 (with no margins — something I custom added). Instead of printing, I save it as PDF. And now I have a pdf of BFRPG shrunk down to A5-size. It’s still pretty readable.

That’s the pdf I can send to the printers to make an A5-sized paperback of the book.

For the spiral coil bound book, I used a tool that creates a booklet from a pdf. I believe Adobe Reader can do this too. This effectively shrinks the page to half the size.

Once printed on paper back-to-back, I cut the pages in half and then bind it with spiral coil.

Hope that helps.
