Tomorrow's the day

Post Thu Mar 22, 2012 1:10 am

I'm going to introduce BF to my Group. Hopefully we will get through half of a level in the old island fortress near Morgansfort. My DM gear:

3 Coilbound Rulebooks (Got 2 for dirt cheap on Noble Knight.com)
1 Morgansfort Module
2-3 white battle grids along different color dry erase markers
4 folders with PC sheets, dice, pencil
Tons of tokens
A lot of prepared encounters

Wish me luck! if the group likes it, I'll consider again maybe recording a session of a one-shot (created by me or anyone else) to promote the BF system.

I ran through a few hiccups that would like to list:

1. I thought the players PC to weak to even play so I gave them max health possible to roll (1d8, 8HP).

2. Do magic users and clerics have to roll vrs AC to see if they cast a spell. I really need some help in explaining spells and how to use them. I've made it so that they both start with two 0 level spells, two 1 level spells (Magic Missile for Magic User). I don't know what to do when they level up, just allow them to pick spells from 2nd level now?

All and All they loved it, they have made the Toothless Dragon as a place to set up shop, what would Garnoth think!
