How to start a play-by-post/mail game as a beginner?

Post by exhead »

I'd really love to play BFRPG on a regular basis. But being a dad (semi-stay at home) and a ADD-sufferer I find it hard to play with a real-life face2face group.

So, is there anyway to play BFRPG by email / post / Whatsapp / Discord / IRC or whatever?
Every suggestion will be greatly appreciated!

People post here sometimes looking for players, but also on the Facebook group. Join us there if you haven't already.

The forum RPGCrossing is specifically designed for PbP with a number of built in tools. I am also interested in getting a play-by-post game going as the dungeon master, for my Western Lands campaign.

The last time I was there was about 6or 7 years ago. Totally forgot about that site.

It's possible to play-by-post here as well.

They are, in fact, inactive. Anyone wishing to start a new play-by-post on this forum needs to post an introductory thread advertising the game in General Discussion. When and if you have enough players lined up, you notify me by private message and I create a new subforum for your game and a group for your players. The GM of any such game is responsible for giving me a list of the names of all participants... please don't make me read your entire intro thread to find them.

I highly suggest dropping by the discord. I myself am strictly play by post for similar reasons and I am currently running Morgansfort and Midnight on Black lake but would like to get a hexcrawl together.
