Just wondering how others use/interpret healing potions.
Do you give it the same properties as a Cure Light Wounds/Cure Serious Wounds spell and have it cure a variable amount of hit points or do you have it cure a set number of hit points? Or do you give it other properties entirely?
I've also seen a fairly large discrepancy in the price of healing potions. I know this has been discussed before but I have seen a MSRP as low as 20 gp in the Beneath Brymassen adventure and as high as 400gp in a couple of different threads here in the forums.
In my current game I have the price set at 250gp which I picked as kind of a happy medium but I am just wondering what others do.

Healing Potions
The problem with doing something really stupid to impress people is that they may just be impressed by how stupid you really are.
Re: Healing Potions
I do it the same as a CLW. As for pricing, according to the book, its all about volume
. If you can get a high level cleric to make a bunch at a time, it drives the price down.

Re: Healing Potions
I adjust the price depending on who the PCs are trying to buy the potions from, what they are going to do for or have done for that person(or church/temple) and how much gold I want to relieve the party of.

Re: Healing Potions
Actually, I'm going to consider that an error in Brymassen. I'll have a look at it sometime.
