3 sessions into my first solo play of BFRPG. It's...been...Interesting?

Hello fellow roleplayers

I finally got organized and decided to start my first solo campaign using BFRPG along with Mythic GM Emulator and Black Streams solo heroes as a combat rules overlay(recently changed to a more simplified oracle (yes, and, but,no) after GME was trying to get me killed. Long story). I'm doing this as kind of a one shot and making up the adventure on the fly by using random tables and event generators so that way I don't know what is coming. It's has turned alittle bit into an interactive journal type campaign but it has made for hours of fun. I have an idea as to where I want the story to end up and avoiding railroading the campaign and it has turned out really well.

The reason I ditched GME was due to with the chaos factor still being in a fairly neutral state I was running into NPC's wanting to be hostile from the get go (sure I blame GME but we all know it was due to the questions I asked). Luckily stat checks and combat wise the dice rolls have been nicely in my favor at the cost a few guards who wouldn't yield (believe me they were warned). It's mostly been a fairly straight forward adventure. My character was asked to go to a city to help retrieve a stolen relic. Run of the mill kind of stuff. I've managed to run into a small group of NPC's at the local tavern that are also there looking into the events.

Next session I'm planning on making my way to the dungeon to retrieve the relic and close the story arc (which will in turn open the door to the next arc if my team of adventurers survive the final conflict).

I'd like to know if anybody else has had any success with playing BFRPG solo and how it went? Did you make up your own adventure or play one of the modules?

Been reading up to try a solo run myself. Im using a mix of fate dice, mythic, CRGE and The solo adventurers toolbox.

Using Onenote to create scenes and threads.

Hope to have some (low production value) videos of solo play recorded soon to share infact.

This has been a very fun experience. I'm currently 2 rooms into a 5 room dungeon in my one shot campaign. I made a random tables packet that has made creating quick adventures very fun. I literally have no clue what will happen which makes it so much fun. My oracle is still trying to kill me every minute of the adventure though. BFRPG is such a great system for solo playing.

Have you tried using the Hex map generator on wizardawn? I used quite a bit of the tools there to make my quick gen packet and they have some pretty cool hex map generator.

I've seen it awhile back but to be honest forgot about it. i will check it out. But I enjoy generating on the fly as explored for the most part.

I can see how that would he cool. Kind of like a true fog of war not knowing what lies beyond the next tile
