Saving Throws

I'm finding that in my games I keep forgetting that some of the attributes such as Constitution and Intelligence give bonuses to saving throws. Is that a big deal? I have a dwarf fighter in the group with an 18 CON giving him a total of a +7 to poison saves. He's level 8 now and only fails a poison saving throw on a 1. Is that accurate? It seems a bit powerful.

Con 18 is supposed to be pretty rare and level 8 relatively high.
Dwarf are resistant to magic and can't be Magic-Users.
If he's a cleric on top of that, 1 is correct.

Yeah, it's hard to poison a dwarf.
Even with failing only on a 1, though, most won't risk poison. Death comes too suddenly that way.

If you are the GM, remind the player that some savings get an ability bonus. Tell that player to make a note on the saving throw on the character sheet.
If you are the player, make as above, note it on the ST, you can divide the ST in two values Death/Poison so its X/Y.

Cool. So the only attributes that give bonuses to saving throws is CON and INT right?

Check the racial descriptions for non-humans, it shows it there.

Yea I know about the racial bonuses to saving throws. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't any more attribute bonuses.
