I'll collect the materials after (a) you complete your run-through on AA1.4, and (b) when I get done running the Slaver adventure. Likely you'll be ready before me; we'll be finishing up the Slavers on the 17th.

Solo.. got a question for you.. I am putting some stirges into the AA 1.4 dungeon in room 14 and it says monster+treasure. I look up the treasure for Stirge and it says treasure type D. When I use your online treasure generator for type D, it kicks out some serious gold.. the least I've seen it assign is 1700 gp which seems pretty high for a level 1 encounter.

Edit: I rolled it manually and its still a sizeable chunk of change!

That's an interesting point... the treasure types are roughly comparable to the old editions. I always wondered about treasure type D for Stirges.

There are a couple of points here. 1) Just make it however you want. If you want to roll it, you might use Unguarded Treasure, Level 1 (U1 in the online generator) to get a smaller treasure. 2) Or, you can just change the description. I rolled up the room contents using the standard method from the Core Rules, which is similar to the target edition, but doesn't make empty rooms as often. But it doesn't have to be "monster with treasure," it can be whatever sounds good.

I need to re-read it; do we have the whole "rescue the kids" bit in there?

crap.. I guess we do need to stick the kids in one of those rooms.. I finished the remaining rooms but forgot about those pesky kids.. I had room 14 as the stirge room (kinda humorous actually) but it really does lend itself to a place I would stash kids.. maybe have a cross dressing hobgoblin who can be heard to mumble 'It rubs the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again'

Edit: Solo how would you feel about making the kidnapped children an optional background? I was thinking we could then create a room 14 that ties up the optional storyline and a room 14 for a DM who wants to run a more generic open ended dungeon.

Yeah, sorry, I'm planning to go over it tonight. I gave it a quick look, and I like your additions overall. I do hope you don't mind if I expand on the background somewhat? I ran a "rescue the kids" adventure a few years ago, and I have a few ideas about starting it out. I'd also like to give a "hook" for the non-rescue version.

Chris.. I don't mind at all.. It is a collaboration project! In fact I am looking forward to seeing what you add.

Okay, I've uploaded it. This makes it "complete."

When I get done with the Slaver's adventure, I'll begin assembling the full AA1. I'm looking forward to it...

Chris. changes and the storyline look great! The only thing that needs fixing is room 6. We need to kick the first paragraph down below the Room Title and I think paragraph two should be boxed since it seems to be the flavor text for the room.
