Over the previous two weeks I had, I don't know, five or so invitations from the same guy for his group. I declined each, but I started to get tired of it, so I sent him a message and asked him (nicely, I thought) to please stop inviting me.
Well, he blocked me. Not enough to just unfriend me, apparently.
Today, after about four requests over the last few days (one per day), I asked another guy the same thing. This time I said:
And he blocked me, too, after sending a nastygram I won't repeat here.I keep getting invitations from you to join your group. I just don't have time for any more groups. Please stop inviting me.
Seriously, people, the best way to grow a Facebook group is organically. Inviting all your friends repeatedly is just going to make some of them irritated; possibly the others simply quietly unfriended the person doing this, rather than asking them not to do it, but I don't see at all what's wrong with asking.
Am I off base here?
