It was a fun game, and such a relief to socialize with people that I don't either

When and where can we see the recordings?

Okay, first, thanks to the guys who played last night! We're planning a second session next week.

As far as the recording goes... I had a feeling it wouldn't work out, and it kind of didn't. I set up another computer with a fake user account to do the recording of the session. When I went looking for a screen recorder, I found out that the easiest solution available was to use the Windows 10 games bar, since it's a Windows 10 computer that I was using. What I did not know is that the default maximum duration of a recording is 2 hours. so out of a three-hour session, I only got 2 hours recorded. The most interesting encounter happened in that last hour. Not entirely certain if anyone cares about a partial session. We will be playing again next week and I have adjusted my maximum duration to four hours, which should be plenty, so here's hoping I'll be able to post that one.

BusterBluth, I added a new character sheet for you, for your second replacement. If anyone wants to generate a spare in advance, let me know and I'll add blank sheets for you.

Guys, I have an apology to make. I saw a new thread regarding the Roll20 character sheets for Basic Fantasy here:

https://basicfantasy.org/forums/viewtop ... f=2&t=3828

I read up on them and I realized that we were using the old sheets, not the new fancy ones, in our game. So I switched... and now I can't switch back.

The new sheets do not use the same attribute names as the old ones, so while your stats are still there on the Attributes and Abilities tab, the character sheets barely contain anything.

I am SO SORRY. Really. I'm going to have to ask you guys to redo your sheets. I tried to fix Lorick's sheet, but it seems like it's going to be easier to redo them from scratch.

The new sheet format includes a bunch of optional stuff, which I do not agree with... I really wish vanilla sheets were available as an option. Please ignore fields like "Alignment" that are NOT part of this game.

Okay, HOLD OFF on redoing character sheets... I may be able to get the original sheet reinstated with Roll20 as an alternative.

I've used OBS for screen recording, it worked well and is completely open source. Of course if the game bar works that's good as well.

OBS is silly complicated. I may end up using it though.

One trick if you want to use OBS to record a session: put the roll20 session in it's own browser with no other tabs open. It's my understanding that OBS can zero in on the browser, but not a specific tab. That way if you need to flip to other notes or such it should stay on the game.

If you already know this, sorry. Just my experience.
