I'm just now getting into playing Basic Fantasy and am confused with spellcasting. Am I reading correctly that clerics and magic-users, once they cast a spell, they cannot use it again until the next "day"? In other words, they get to cast the spell only once during an entire session?
Can someone explain the mechanic a little better for me?
Thanks.

Re: Spells and Spellcasting
Each day (normally, in the morning) each spellcaster prepares the spells he/she wants to cast limited by the amount of spells allowed by his level, once that specific spell is cast, its gone from the available ones.
Not really, some sessions can encompass more than one day, specially at low levels where the number of "safe" fights per day is one.In other words, they get to cast the spell only once during an entire session?
Sorry for any misspelling or writing error, I am not a native English speaker

Re: Spells and Spellcasting
Yeah, what dimirag said... if you look at the blog, you'll find my articles on the subject. Basically, all classes are good for about one "fair" fight per game day, after which, unless they got really lucky or they have a death wish, they should rest in the dungeon or return to town. So casting one spell per day is about the same as one spell per battle.
