My wife (hobbit rogue [thief]) who doesn't care for role playing and her sister (elf druid) began in the Esgaroth area, encountered a dying dwarf in the tavern of the Bouncing Barrel. His newly cut mine in the mountains of Mirkwood was attacked, but he died before details could be given. A dwarf named Dorgrin who was in the tavern at the time said that he will go and avenge the dwarves at the mine. The elf sought to defeat evil in the woods and the hobbit yearned to become as famous as that Bilbo character from 8 years ago, so they journeyed forth to the mine, found that a deep cavern was found while cutting the mine spilling forth goblins, giant spiders, and dwarf skeletons from a long lost hold in the mountains.
Though the hobbit & dwarf nearly bought it, they defeated the goblins, let the fallen dwarves find peace, and befriended a wolf who was attracted by the spilled blood.
Now the wife and sister want to have a regular game session in this campaign.

Most cool. Apparently you married a Took.
Are you using anything special for setting material?
