Basic Fantasy RPG Forums

I have no idea, actually. BFRPG has more effort put into "balance" than Iron Falcon does (as with the latter, fidelity was more important). But I can't tell you how much difference it would make, because I don't know.

Aren't we already balanced? I always thought game balance was achieved by having magic-users be so incredibly weak at 1st level whereas their peers were much tougher. But then, after reaching high levels, the tables have turned (although a 15th level fighter is certainly no slouch!).

"Balance" is a word with lots of subtle nuance...
