New "Beginner's Box" torrent -- please seed!

A couple weeks ago, I saw a thread where someone had created a BFRPG "Beginner's Box" torrent, which new players and GMs could download to get started playing. Unfortunately, it seems there are no more people seeding that particular torrent.

So I decided to make my own BFRPG Beginner Box torrent. The torrent contains the following files:
  • Beginner's Essentials (release 9)
  • Core Rules 3e (release 107)
  • Field Guide 1e (release 30)
  • Morgansfort 2e (release 26)
  • Character Sheets (single and double-page, both fillable)
  • README.TXT (directing people to visit the site and join the forum)
Here's the torrent file:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/711khqo1agf1d ... rrent?dl=1

And a few other mirrors:

I would love it if the torrent file could distributed via the basicfantasy.org website (so I don't have to rely on external file hosts) and if basicfantasy.org could seed the torrent (so I'm not the only seeder). Also, if anyone else is willing and able to share and seed the torrent, I'd be grateful! The more seeders, the better. I'll also be sharing the torrent on torrent sites.

I'll let Solo correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think he'd host any torrents on this site. Just straight/regular downloads on the Downloads page. Also, this could be misconstrued by someone unfamiliar with BFRPG that those are the only files in some kind of "official set".

I've included a TXT file in the "box" that states that all of the books in the BFRPG library are available free at this website, and it also urges people to join the forums and participate. I understand that offering the download as a torrent from the site directly could be seen as an "official" endorsement, so I can understand why this might not happen. But I don't think people will believe that the items in the box are the full catalogue, considering I've directed them to the free downloads here at the website.

In any case, I hope this will help bring new users to the game and promote the system. That's my goal, anyway.

Since creating this torrent yesterday, It's already been downloaded over 85 times, and there are 15 seeders as of the time of this post. This is fantastic!

The way I see it, even if only half of the downloaders are new users, that means BFRPG has reached 42 new users since yesterday. I hope some of those people start playing, join the forum, and show their support!

85 downloads in just one day! :D

EDIT: Actually, checking the tracker stats, it looks like there's at least 186 downloads since yesterday, perhaps more! I'm seeing 186 on one tracker, 146 on another, 183 on a third... I'm not sure if these are separate unique downloads, or if they overlap somehow, but 186 downloads isn't bad! I hope this leads to more players!

I don't have a complaint about how you're hosting the torrent, so long as you are sharing unmodified copies. However, the other mods are right, I would not host a torrent from this site... even if I wanted to, I don't have the infrastructure.

All of the content in the "Beginner's Box" is unmodified.

As of this post, the box has been downloaded over 260 times! I hope it's bringing in plenty of new players. :D

I appreciate the numbers and hope that there are new players reading BFRPG right now. But BFRPG has been downloaded in all of its various forms over 50,000 times. Many people just download any game thats free and add it to their cloud. It doesn't cost anything and it certainly doesn't take up much space electronically.

The trick is to get them to actually read the download and then play it :)

I hear ya. I am just surprised and thrilled that the brand-new torrent got over 250 downloads in a day! It's been doing well, which makes me glad. I just want to contribute, since I appreciate and enjoy the game.

Unfortunately, my home internet has gone offline for the past 24 hours due to service issues with my company, but despite this, the torrent is still being seeded by 20 to 30 peers at any given time, and downloads have continued! So that's good news. Hopefully things will be sorted out and I'll be back online and seeding in a day or so.

EDIT: Home internet back online and seeding!
