I agree that this should've been two videos. It's nice to keep them focused on a certain subject matter unless you're going for the vlog vibe. I liked the themes you talked about!

LIghting is crucial for getting a good image, so try to get as much as possible, and to have it coming from around you or as much directly in front of you as possible, avoiding strong lights from above or below, to avoid harsh shadows and fill in nicely. This is rather easy to experiment with, just think about the look of videos you like and try to emulate that.

Make sure you record at least at 720p, 30fps, for a nice, smooth video. 1080p is ideal, but files are much bigger. You can go 24fps if you want a cinematic look.

About the audio, try to record in a place where you have the most soft surfaces around you as possible. Carpets, rugs, couches... It all helps cut reverberations. Also, it would be nice to be closer to the camera, unless you're showing something.

I hope that helps!

I'd suggest putting the camera on the table closer to you, will also help the audio using the camera's built-in mic. But agreed it's nice to see and hear you!

I had assumed that you had something running nearby (perhaps the frig or your heatpump outside) that wasn't running the next morning when you did the second shot.
