Re: hOW TO CALCULATE ARMOR CLASS?
Page 11 (pg 15 on the core rule pdf) has the armor and shields listed on the right column.
No armor is 11 and the other armor is listed. Your dex modifier is added to your armor class also. This means if you have a dex 18 and no armor, you have AC 14. If you have chainmail (AC 15) and a shield (+1 to AC) with a dex of 18 (+3 to AC), you would have an AC 19 in total.

AC 11 base + whatever your armor adds + shield + Dex bonus + any magic that applies

Re: hOW TO CALCULATE ARMOR CLASS?
Basic Fantasy doesn't express armor as a bonus, so "whatever your armor adds" is not a relevant statement. You could write it out that way, if you wanted, but that's inconsistent with the old usage; giving fixed AC for each armor type is consistent with the coverage target of the game, so that's how we do it.Gold wrote:AC 11 base + whatever your armor adds + shield + Dex bonus + any magic that applies
Metro's rundown is correct, FYI. Hope this helps you, rxmouton.
