Under the skeleton's description in the core rules, on page 116 it says,
"They take only ½ damage from edged weapons, and only a single point
from arrows, bolts or sling stones (plus any magical bonus)."
The single point of damage from sling stones doesn't make sense to me. A sling stone is blunt, not piercing or slashing, in the damage it does. If anything, I'd say a sling stone would likely do near as devastating damage to a bone as a well formed sling bullet made of a dense metal would. Anyone know if there was a particular reason for the limited sling stone damage against skeletons?
A question on slings and skeleton damage reduction.

Good point. I wonder if this is just a simple oversight, something that carries over from the inspirational source materials, or just a flaw in logic.
If I were to put some logical justification to it though, I would equate it to basically most such small projectiles would pass through or only get glancing hits on skeletal systems that do not necessarily have the additional organ material attached.

Is it really the end, not some crazy dream?

Maybe is for the small size and low strength that limits how much damage it can do on a skeletal anatomy

I just ignore the sling stone reference as it is blunt damage and only apply the limitations piercing and slashing type of damage.

The sling was included with intent. The standard sling stone can't damage much more bone than an arrow (the slightly larger caliber being offset by the lower energy). Clubs, maces, etc. can smash many ribs, vertebrae, etc. in a single hit.
Of course, you may rule as you see fit.
