I totally suck at self-promotion and I mostly read stuff written by dead people.

I think you should have a wikipedia entry with your bibliography in it.
That's one free way to get people interested.

I'd be interested in hearing more about Glain for starters. Also for Amazon prime members the slateholm books are free through kindle unlimited. Gonna get them now while I can.

Solo you truly are an inspiration. I've always been hesitant to get into Table top rpgs but I have had so much fun with basic fantasy and the creations that have come from this community. Your vision breeds creativity.

Solo, you have given me the inspiration to write the stories I did for Basic Fantasy. I know whole-heartedly that I'm not as good as you or JD Neal at writing. But you, and the others here, have given me encouragement to write, and present my stories to the entire world. I've never been an artist, either, but sit in awe of the work that Teaman and Zoltar's Inkwell have done for the books. Each of us have strengths, yours is writing, DO IT!

Glain is a mess, honestly. Writing stories there just does not appeal to me.

A small amount of Glain campaign materials are available here: https://tower.gonnerman.org/glain/

To both Al and Solo: keep writing for the joy of it. I think that self-promotion is very difficult these days, so a lack of sales does NOT equate with a lack of skill. There's just so much competition out there these days.

Keep writing for the joy of writing. The book industry is brutal and cut throat. I was a part owner and managing partner of a small firm and despite all the passion of the founders, it was insanely difficult to break into. It's where I first heard the expression "To make a small fortune in publishing, you have to start with a large one."
