The amount of time between when you decide to switch to Basic Fantasy and when you actually start, because you, rightfully so, feel obligated to finish the current campaign story in a much clunkier, slower, system.

True dat. On the one hand, I started almost immediately using BF with my kids (we even made it into the book as playtesters) but tomorrow I start my first real FtF campaign using BF with adults. I am so excited. This will be my first real tabletop campaign since the 80's.
