Fellow adventurers and masters of dungeons,
I recently got my hands on BFRPG 2nd Edition and, after flipping through the rules a few times, have queries concerning combination classes.
Exactly what races are allowed to take combination classes? Elves have it written right in their racial requisites that they may be Fighters/Magic-Users, but does that mean that other races are disallowed from taking combination classes as they don't have any specifically mentioned in their sections? I assume humans can take them because humans have no real class limitations, but can a dwarf be, say, a Clerc/Fighter? Can halflings be Thief/Clerics? It does not explicitly say so in their racial descriptions in the way it does for elves and that leaves me a tad confused.
I await your answers,
Arty G

Re: Questions concerning combination classes
I have the 3rd edition rules. Per the rules, only Elves may be a member of a combination class. Elves can be either a fighter/magic user or a thief/magic user. The Th/MU was added in the latest rules edition.
If you are using the half human supplement, half elves may also use the same combination classes as elves.
No other races are allowed combination classes per the core rules. Of course you could always create your own house rules to allow them.

Re: Questions concerning combination classes
The above answer is right, only races that can use a combination class are those that specifically mention it in their description. Elves are the only ones available to use combination classes. This is made to reflect the elf class-race from old days while giving each race a little more freedom.

Re: Questions concerning combination classes
The Gnome supplement also presents a race which can combo class, as M-U/Thief to be exact.

Also, the Monsters as Races Supplement has additional (but certainly not official) details on combination classes including the MU/Cleric combo (specifically for humanoid witch-doctors as seen in the 1e style games).

Thanks, everyone. That clears up a lot.
