Basic Fantasy RPG Forums

You'd think this would be the season for PbP games, but there honestly isn't much going on. Best way to get into one is to watch for someone advertising that they are starting a new one, or need players for an existing game.

Howdy all.

I'm a roleplayer since the OD&D (1983). Following system were played many years: D&D up to 3.5, AD&D 1st & 2nd and The Dark Eye. Several systems were played for a shorter time: Star Wars D6 Edition, Shadowrun and some more. My roleplaying career ended at the begin of the year 2005 after the move to Spain for work. After I did return, my last RPG group was gone. Since then no more RPG for me. Now I'm short before getting a new group to play RPGs again. Now I was looking for a compact RPG system and found Basic Fantasy RPG. Nice addon stuff is available for the system. I'm feeling the urge to merge some stuff here to make a sort of Advanced Basic Fantasy game for my own use. Quite easy doable with that modular design.

Live in central Europe, playing RPGs for only about a year, taking the GM mantle for the most part.

Just discovering this beautiful world of rpg! Should get the rulebook in the mail today... Im 48 - started playing d&d when I was like 13... took about a 30 year hiatus and started playing again about a yearish ago.
LOVE this system, going to try and get my peeps to try BFRPG so we can stop with the crazy purchases for WotC and for the simplicity.
