Re: Website Update Discussion
Solo, could you upload a pic of the home page, showcase and forum to see how it should look?
Sorry for any misspelling or writing error, I am not a native English speaker

Re: Website Update Discussion
finally just figured it out. The problem only shows when the font control button the "vA^" (upper right of forum) is set on lowest size (which I typically use).
When switched to either of the two other settings (medium and large) the buttons all go where they expect, though each setting is slightly different in placement. I would think the entire header should be consistent regardless.
Another FYI, I find both the medium and large font settings more difficult to read. Mind you, not because of the size (in both cases fine), but moreso because of bold/unbold settings being largely invisible to me or barely noticeable between states. The smallest font setting, while smallest has the best differentiation between the various font states, whether bold, italic, or otherwise (but mostly bold being the culprit)... at least by my opinion or viewed by my eyes.

Is it really the end, not some crazy dream?

Just following up if this was noted that the buttons and header logo placement changes with each size state. I haven't seen any new tweaks in this regards.SmootRK wrote:finally just figured it out. Re: Website Update Discussion
I like the updated header on the main page. But it does need the Core Rules R105 shown w/ the 2/14/16 date rather than the current R104.
Re: Website Update Discussion
The new website is working well for me on both Firefox (Windows 8) and Chrome (Windows 10).
I have only a few comments. First, the phrase 'Intro Story' always makes me think that it's going to be about how the game was made, and when, and why.
Maybe you could include something like that at the top of the same page, so new visitors would know about your prime position in OSR history, and how the game evolved?
One other thing - it would be neat if the small sidebar and the downloads page (Rules, Adventure Modules, Supplements, Forms), followed the scrolling or jumping downwards, rather than getting left behind up the top.
Looks pretty good to me generally. I initially had an issue that the Top Bar menu only appeared if I moused over it, but that has gone now. Never had any concerns with misplaced header images or the like.
PS - paypal donate button?

Re: Website Update Discussion
Being left at the top works better to me, because it lets you have a longer non-scrolling history list--the fewer scroll bars on the page the better. There's enough history on the project to make it worth the longer list. And from a development point of view, keeping it on the page in an elegant manner tends to be iffy on different browsers and between versions.Longman wrote:One other thing - it would be neat if the small sidebar and the downloads page (Rules, Adventure Modules, Supplements, Forms), followed the scrolling or jumping downwards, rather than getting left behind up the top.
