New Contest: Castle by the Sea
I have another $25.00 donation in hand, and the donor, Dustinian, told me to do whatever I wanted with it. So we're going to have another contest!
To compete, all you have to do is to stock the Castle by the Sea. As I said in the thread for that module, I plan to create several different adventures that all use the map for that castle, mainly to use at conventions and other places where I'm introducing people to Basic Fantasy RPG. Today I thought, why not let you guys help out with that?
Here are the rules:
1) You can't change the map. Seriously.
2) You must submit your key in LibreOffice/OpenOffice format to this thread.
3) Create your adventure key for a group of 4-8 player characters. You may specify whatever range of levels of ability you wish.
4) The winner will be chosen by an open vote. All forum members will have the opportunity to cast a vote over a period of one week. A single winner will be chosen to receive a $25.00 Amazon.com gift card.
The primary deadline is January 1, 2016. In the event that no submissions are received by that deadline, the contest will be canceled; if there is only one contender on that date, the deadline will be extended to February 1, 2016. If the second date arrives with no more than one submission, the contest will be canceled and no prize will be awarded.
All submissions will be considered by me for inclusion in the final Castle by the Sea module.

Count me in. I'm cooking on a backstory. So, you just want the adventure in text form? Without any of the existing ODT content except the maps? No formatting? No illustrations?

You don't need to include the maps. However, it would be nice to have the adventure text in standard format; feel free to use the Adventure Template attached to the first post here: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=696

Count me in, I have a few Ideas for some things that should be quite fun and a group to test it out on.

Question: How much space do you say the squares on the maps represent? 10 feet?

Yes, 10 feet. Should have noted that somewhere...

Sorry about that, SerGavin. I wish you had gone ahead and posted your not-entirely-finished version; if you had written something for every room, you'd have been eligible, and if you had found time to do the edits, you could have updated it. I will suggest that you go ahead and post your version in this thread... though you won't be eligible for the contest, I will still include it in the final print module.
