Hello. My girlfriend and I want to get into gaming. I have some experience as a player but none as a GM, and she has no experience at all. Can someone point me to a 1-player adventure for my girlfriend that will also teach me to be a GM? Thanks.

I would say download the
AA1 pdf and run the gold in the hills. It is for 2-4 beginning characters and you can have her play a character along with adding npc's.
If running a premade adventure is not your cup of tea, just create a simple adventure. Choose a low level monster type, say goblins or kobolds, and have it terrorize some poor farmer and his family. Have the PC (player character) go to the rescue and deal with the problem. You could make it a small woodland adventure and tie it into a simple dungeon crawl by making a small cave complex (about half dozen rooms or chambers) that has more of the creatures in it. Just keep it simple.

Also check out Solo's
RPG Primer, has good tips for players and GMs.
As far as being a new GM, the core book is pretty good at showing the steps for creating a basic adventure, as far as stocking dungeons and wilderness, etc. The rest is really up to you and it will come with time and experience. Just talk to your GF about what kind of adventure the two of you would like to run a game in; create the town/village/city and outlying area, a few key locations and NPCs, and take it from there.

I wanted to give you a little update: I ran a small campaign with just her and me. I took the idea of a farmer being menaced by goblins. She loved it. Absolutely loved it. I messed up most of the rules and probably the character sheet, but it was still great. Thanks.

Congrats Turbo. Just remember, keep it simple and expand as you need to.
Try to bring her into the game world by describing the environment the character is in. Let her know that her character smells the farm animals or the scent of the fire pit. Her character hears various animals nearby or the soft/loud chatter of the monsters talking (if she needs to make a roll or not is your choice), the smell of what is around her or nearby (skunks usually bring tears to peoples eyes), and maybe even what the door feels like or maybe she put her hand against some of the stone wall in the dungeon. Is it cold? wet? slimy?
The key thing, no matter what else, is that both of you enjoy the game.
Screwed up the rules, so what. Did she have fun? If so then you did fine. Read over the parts you think you messed up and remember them the next time they might come up otherwise don't worry over it.
Screwed up the sheet, just review the core rule book and what ever supplement you used for her character and fix the sheet for the next time. no big deal. just let her know what happened and what you fixed.
Again congrats and hope you two have lots of fun.
