AC Conversion
Is there a chart to convert AD&D 1e, 2e armor class to BFRPG?

Re: AC Conversion
For characters use the armor they are wearing and look at the core rules or at the Equipment Emporium.
For monsters use the one provided by the core rules or the Field Guide.
Otherwise I think its 21-AC

Re: AC Conversion
Exactly, but as the DEX modifiers are different it is better to use the AC from the equipment or to ignore that modifier before doing the change.

Re: AC Conversion
Ack.
This question comes up every month or so.
To convert AC between BFRPG and BX, BECMI, 1E, 2E, or even 0E, deduct the AC from 20. Every time, regardless of which of those games you're converting to OR from.
The only exception is 1E and 2E's AC 10. Both AC 9 and AC 10 in 1E and 2E convert to AC 11 in BFRPG.
You find the secret when you compare armor types. Chainmail is AC 5 and Platemail is AC 3 in all those old games. In BFRPG, they are 15 and 17 respectively. There are multiple kinds of leather in 1E, so you either convert them by armor type or just deduct from 20. Honestly, just do the latter.
