I know it is totally off topic, but I have been so engrossed in WSOP links today. My (step)brother is currently leading for WSOP Player of the Year (Frank Kassela).

I just have the urge to boast about him.

Oh, and just to relate a little bit to rpgs, he (frank) was my first gaming partner using red box d&d basic game. One summer, we played from the time we woke till we fell asleep... day after day. Great memories.

my brother still leads the pack for Player of the Year... if only he would share some of the winnings... almost 2 Million at this point.

Update, my brother is still on top... with only one individual posing any threat to Player of the Year title. Awesome.

Wow, that's really cool! I guess you guys don't play poker at family gatherings, then, eh?

another update:
If I understand a twitter comment that was made, he is now out of the Main Event... however, he did score points toward the Player of the Year due to his decent performance. Only one individual has any potential to beat him, but this player must take the 1st place win to get it... which is unlikely at best.

I am very proud and happy for him... I think he is going to be heading to Europe to catch a few events in the WSOP tourney events that are still ongoing over there.

Another update:
Frank is out, but even if his contender wins 1st in the main event, the outcome will be a tie for 1st place in Player of the Year. He is POY regardless as of a few minutes ago!!!
