First post - hello!

Hi!
Thought I should post a quick hello, before diving into old threads and giving my tuppennies worth. I used to role play many years ago and recently have rediscovered RPGs - especially retro-clones. Although I must add that BFRPG is the one of the few I've actually bought so far and it is a delight to read. I find it both refreshing and nostalgia seeped (for me), it seemed that Basic D&D of old knowledge is no longer redundant and that I can take part in random discussions about low level party survival rates, and download new playable supplements.
(I'm a secret fan of solo game books - Lone Wolf and Fighting Fantasy especially. Tried writing some solo gamebooks a while back, but writing is a mug's game!)
I briefly dallied with playing Warhammer Quest - but it wasn't quite the dungeoneering I was used to, but the randomised play is very slick - some sort of hybrid basic rules old school may be required! Can't afford Descent ...
I'm currently developing a style of dungeon floor plans evocative of 80's illustrated floor plans and board games. At the moment they are at demo/sample stage, but perhaps there's a market out there for such things.
I also hang out at Lost and the Damned http://the-lost-and-the-damned.664610.n2.nabble.com/ - which is primarily a figures and homebrew games forum. Mr Solomoriah found my witterings on that forum and nudged me to here (I think I was trying sign up here already, but couldn't get past the registration robot).
My floor plans development thread is on there: http://the-lost-and-the-damned.664610.n ... l#a2942353
