Who said that?
Finch'e book basically says that. But I suppose that that is beside the point. Never mind.

Just uploaded R4, and I'm interested in comments. I've put the "wandering monsters" section and the map into the sample adventure, along with commentary on how to play the random encounters.

I just read this and I am impressed it explains the game mechanics in an easy to follow way.

Wow. Just... wow. This is something that I felt has been needed for this game for a while. I'm currently teaching a 13 year old how to game master. This is going to be a "must read" for him now.

Dimirag wrote:Page 15, it says: "You're trying to roll higher than the armor class of the monsters." Shouldn't be "equal or higher"? (The goblins hit a 15AC with a total attack roll of 15).
Good catch. I fixed it for the next release. Thanks!

Also, you have too many random encounters, I believe. It says to roll 1d4 to determine what random encounters occurred, and yet you have 5 encounters. Two of them are both labelled "2".
