I like the part where it mentions that it had everything you needed in one book. When I got my own copy of the 2nd edition rules that was the thing the really impressed me the most. I raved about it to my family.

Along that thought like I was wondering if in a future edition it might not be feasible to include one short beginning character adventure?

Tower of Zenopus style? That's a gribble of an idea, Jered! What do you say, Solo?

Many people have suggested an introductory adventure, but as yet none have appeared.

I'm pretty sure we don't need it. I haven't had anyone tell me they found the game, but decided not to play it because it had no intro adventure.

And honestly, I'd prefer to keep the page count where it is.

It's not really needed as there's plenty of nice free downloads on this website.

What the Core Rules does need to have, and I think barring any small edits it does, is easy and clear rules for GMs to create their own adventures.

And a selection of sample traps. I think the list here would be good addition:

3rd Edition has sample traps, courtesy of LibraryLass I think.

It's past the halfway point, and it's very positive.
