Play Testing and Game Scheduling
Re: Play Testing
I think 7-9 p.m. UTC would be a good time. What does everybody else think?
Also, yes to LFG, I think it would make it easier to be found.

Re: Play Testing
That ends right when I get off work. Maybe two sessions 7-9 and 9-11 (people are welcome to attend both times, but can expect a second wave 2 hours in)?

What time would that be in USA time?-1warrior wrote:I think 7-9 p.m. UTC would be a good time. What does everybody else think?

Knights of the Written Word 2 is a friendly Roll20 community created for those that prefer written text games or have difficulty with voice games (for physical, mental, emotional, or technical reasons).

Re: Play Testing
I have no problem opening up to LFG. My druthers would be that the main roll20 page just be a hangout for BFRPG discussion, planning, drop in to say hello, etc, and play the games in a different room. You can have multiple games open so you could just click back and forth if necessary. If we want this thing to grow then we want it to be more than just the game.
People can drop into the main page and chat with anyone in that room and find out if anyone is playing and in what room. That way there aren't people dropping in and out of the game chat and just wrecking any cohesion that exists. Another plus to this is that individual DMs can set up their gameroom the way they want and just play in it when they are GMing.

That's a great idea. Is everyone else on board with this?Hywaywolf wrote:I have no problem opening up to LFG. Re: Play Testing
Maybe having an exact time isn't that important, and people can just show up on Friday and see if other people are around.
I've put together a description of the group:
"This group is set up for the BFRPG community to discuss the game, recruit players for games, playtest supplements and adventures, or anything else related to BFRPG.
Information about BFRPG, and free downloads of the rules and supplements can be found here: http://www.basicfantasy.org/.
The "Next game will be" time refers to Friday Night Dice: The once a week chat session where people can get games together.
What this group is for: Drop-in games, planned one-shots, playtesting official BFRPG material, trying out homebrew material, chatting with fellow BFRPG fans, or other activities involving short-term games.
What this group isn't for: Playing games other than BFRPG (there are other groups devoted to general OSR gaming and to avoid redundant groups, we'd like to keep this one BFRPG only)."
I'm starting to think this might work out. Very excited for some pick-up BFRPG games!
