Re: Play Testing
I think you should wait until you have 8-10 people interested before you get to involved with scheduling.

Re: Play Testing
Pretty much any night is good for me. My major blocks of time that are not good are daytimes on the weekend.
Re: Play Testing
Okay sounds good.
Anybody else interested?

Yeah, I'm interested.
@1warrior have you joined the BFRPG group? If so I can promote you to GM. I am trying to make hyway's idea a reality. Right now there are 5 of us.

Re: Play Testing
The reason I say you need at least 10 people involved in this is that we are trying to build a hangout/chatroom and not a gaming group/campaign. I have 2 real time chat games and I don't even remember how many PBPs, I don't need another night where I am obligated to be there. I am looking for something that could hopefully grow into the chatroom at Dragonsfoot where you dropped into the lounge to shoot the bull with anyone hanging out or play a pickup game of RPG.

Re: Play Testing
Wait. What? I thought this was going to be a real time rpg. That's what I started the original thread for. Thing is I have no local group to play with and I am not part of any chat group of IRC group or roll20 group. My only roleplaying is one pbp. Somehow my asking if there was an IRC group with me wanting to play in a real time bfrpg game got turned first into a play testing thing and now it's going to a chat room.
Re: Play Testing
None of those are mutually exclusive. We can have a group where I run a real time game on Monday night, 1warrior could run one on Tuesday, and we can have a chat room/pickup game night on Friday and Saturday. (These are just hypothetical examples not proposed days.) And "playtests" are nothing more than real-time games using material that still needs testing before going to print.Jered Taikith wrote:Wait. Re: Play Testing
Although the focus is for short-term or one-shot games.
If you want to get into a regular, weekly game just use the looking for group forums or tool. You might have to be a little flexible with the system. For example, be willing to play in any OSR game (or at least based on B/X or BECMI) and you should be in a game within a couple weeks.
The built-in roll20 tools are difficult to get one-shots together (unless it is for a very mainstream game like pathfinder). Hence the purpose of this group. Of course, you can get into a weekly group and still participate in one-shots when it fits your schedule.

Thats what I thought we were doing. I am in two live chat games, but I would love to be able to jump in on a game as my schedule allowed without having to commit myself.Tree Ant wrote:Although the focus is for short-term or one-shot games.
