Hyway, I didn't know you were a poet.

Black1blade, I agree that the space miniatures take up can be used better for other things.

Hadn't you noticed his literary bent in the Space Force game?

Ok, did a little more review....can you guys walk me through a combat scenario?
Let's start with Adventure Anthology One (Release 5), the very first adventure - Gold in the Hills.

It starts with the Mine. It says there's two goblins. player can approach without being seen if they''re careful. How? Is that a die roll? How do I determine that?

It mentions that if we're seen then they'll launch a volley of arrows - how do I calculate that?

For the Goblins it states;

2 Goblins: AC 14/6, HD1-1, # At 1 dagger, Dam 1d4, Mv 60' (20'), Sv F1, MI7, XP 10.

So....is the armour class 14 or 6?
HD = Hit dice, right? what does it mean '1-1'?
Their damage is 1d4, they can move 60' per turn (what's with the 20 in brackets?).
The stuff after Sv, I'm guessing, is their Saving Throws?

Let's just start with that...

Surprise: I usually give the characters a 1 in 6 chance of surprising someone if they (the characters) are being careful. Of course, it's really up to you what chance the characters have.

Move: the number in parentheses should be how far they can move in a round (at least in most PnP RPGs).

Sv: this is what class and level they save as. Goblins save as first level fighters.

Hit dice: 1-1 means that you roll the eight-sided once and the minus one to roll up hit points for goblins.

Bows and arrows: just give each goblin a bow and a quiver of arrows. Arrows do 1-6 hit points of damage.

since the description says they can approach without being seen if they be careful. then let them succeed if they are careful. Its just that simple. If they just walk right up they will be seen. If they circle around or some other type of stealthy approach then they aren't seen.

Hyway, may I use your poem as my signature? (Just so people will always be looking at it). 8-)

We must never forget it.
