Books arrived today, thanks!
Solo, I am exceedingly impressed with how BFRPG came out in print. Great job all around to you and your team.

Got mine today!! I'll be taking it to work in the morning and reading it during lunch. I'll bet I get some strange looks while reading a D&D book from the 70's. Woo Hoo!!!

Excellent, glad to hear more are arriving.
@Jandolar: Holmes D&D is even more clean and compact than Moldvay, I'd be surprised if it takes beyond 1-2 sessions to read and grok it.
@hjmartin70: you are welcome
@Nightwulf: you are welcome

2E is what I started with, and it's a great system even today. I would simplify the initiative system myself, but I personally never had a problem with ThAc0.
@Blazeguard: We got your package dropped off at the USPS with all the needed customs items filled out. I'm not seeing a tracking # on the receipt, but I'll double-check on that.

chiisu, you've definitely helped me out a lot!
The 1e AD&D is one part nostalgia, one part inspiration. I've already been poking around in the books, and it's a great peek into Sir Gygax's imagination. I'm amazed at the footnote sized fonts in these books, if they used modern typesetting the texts would easily double in size.
For clarity of reading, is why I was interested in the S&W white box. I have PDF's of the LBB's, but they are so clunky to really be unusable.
Looking at these two gives me that much more confidence in BFRPG though. Not to trumpet the bandwagon too much, I know I've been fairly vocal in my support already. It just really gels well that we have a nice workable version of B/X sans attack tables.
