1) Out of the officially published Basic Fantasy products, which is the best starter adventure for new DMs and new players?
2) Out of the entire OSR scene in general, what are some of your favorite starting modules/dungeons/adventures?
Even if they are just small one-shot dungeons, I'm interested in any and all suggestions.

1 - The Chaotic Caves or Morgansfort
2 - While not OSR specific I am rather fond of a large number of the One Page Dungeons, but OSR specific, I would say Rappan Athuk, Tower of the Stargazer and World of the Lost.
Hope that helps.

Working on - The Fallen City & The Baroness of Blood

Go with Morgansfort or the AA1 adventure Beneath Brymassen. Experienced players may be able to handle Castle by the Sea if there's enough of them or the GM allows retainers, helpers, mercenaries, etc.
The Burial Mound of Gilliard Wolfclan is a good starter dungeon (and one page). Also, Goblin Gully (Dyson Logos) is good. Personally I'm itching to run an intro with a commercial module called King's Harvest.
