Re: Map(s)
I'm always up for a challenge! PM me your email, and we can discuss offline the particulars... your "play area" map seems to be just a part of a larger continent... which is part of a larger world. We can start with the visible area first
The below map is for conceptual purposes only... I was playing around to see how hard it would be to make a map based on another (in this case, the Morgansfort map). Still pretty plain (IMO), but still learning!

Stopped gaming in 1989 after AD&D 2E came out. Coming back after 24 years, so my rule-base is still set at AD&D 1E.

Dymond, here is a concept map for you. Lemme know what you think about the world. I put Dragonclaw in the lower right. I don't like the mountains or lake... those are just there as placeholders. The grid is approx 5 hex's on your hex map so, 100 mile grid. I'll play with it more tomorrow. If you only want redone map of he Barony, I'll try my hand at that too.

Re: Map(s)
Anthem.. That looks sweet.. I wouldn't mind a smaller campaign map and a larger world map. In the world map I would like to put the Dragonclaws and Albion above in the centerish because the the Continent of Kar' Tegra should be to the east across the ocean. Feel free to have fun with Kar' Tegra.. its more of a conceptual idea at this point.

chiisu81: The standard icons are codified in MapMatic. Symbols you might want but cannot find there can be requested. As to an actual document describing them: we don't have any such thing. Want to write it?

Chris is pretty good about Mapmatic requests.. There should be a Topic here in the Workshop for posting those requests.

Dymond, sounds good. I had no real idea what the bigger world looked like, so I was just having fun. I'll start with just a Barony map, then work on the world map. If you could, just sketch something (even if just in Paint) to give me an idea of placement and scale relationship of the Dragonclaws to Albion. I'll improvise Kar' Tegra.

Will gladly volunteer for writing this.Solomoriah wrote:chiisu81: The standard icons are codified in MapMatic. Symbols you might want but cannot find there can be requested. As to an actual document describing them: we don't have any such thing. Want to write it?
Should I include outdoor mapping and symbols in it, or focus on indoor/dungeons since that's what MapMatic covers?
There's a MapMatic +2 thread on the first Workshop page, not sure if that's the best location or if we need a "generic" MapMatic thread started. Solo?dymondy2k wrote:Chris is pretty good about MapMatic requests.. There should be a Topic here in the Workshop for posting those requests.

Re: Map(s)
Post image requests (and suggested art if you can find it) in the MapMatic +2 thread, please.
As to writing a document about mapping, let's start with dungeon maps; we can always add wilderness later.
