DC1 Tales from the Laughing Dragon
Re: DC1 Tales from the Laughing Dragon
I never saw the original write up, so the one on Dymondy2k's Obsidian Portal page must have added those in his additional materials. As you wrote it then and as per the info listed in DC1, there is no need for any changes as you are correct there are no other nobles listed than those you meantioned.
Dymondy2k,
I changed them in my version, I just did not know if there was some sort of campaign info that I missed on why it was that way.
Arch-Baron would not work either...the arch part denotes a lesser role, meaning like an assistant.
So Arch Baron would be the Assistant Baron.
I only know that because while reading all the stuff on nobility today I read that.

Player: I drink the potion!
DM: Are you sure you want to do that?
Player: Um, no. Maybe, Why, do you think it would be stupid?

Re: DC1 Tales from the Laughing Dragon
A lord under a baron would just be a simple lord, basically "the lord of the hall", who would be a farmer who owns land and has serfs who work the land for him. Such a lord would have no men-of-wars, but he and his sons/daughters could possibly be knights. They'd live in a manor.

Hey Darrell any chance you have the maps in an image format laying around. I realized you already had the full map in your PDF but if I could get it in something I can manipulate I can add it to supplement I'm working on.Darrell wrote: ↑Sun Oct 31, 2021 6:03 pm In my original write-up, as I recall, there were no Dukes or other titled landowners; only the Baron, Sir Thomas O'Halloran, who ruled in the name of the King of Albion and with the support of the noble families of Albion, with the assistance of the Knightly Order of the Lion Rampant and the heirarchy of the churches. Any titled individuals who were not passers-through with their retinues are later additions.
As for lords your right, I think I needed something because I was bringing in an adventure from the BFRPG Adventure Anthology and I needed somebody of nobility in charge.

Pulling a map out of a PDF is not challenging, but I'd need Darrell's consent.

I have it as a jpg, but can't figure out how to attach it here. Is your e-mail address still the same?

I actually just caught an error. On the license page header it says "BF2 Fortress, Tomb, and Tower".

You can fix that, if you're doing an edit pass.
