Crazy Forest Fire nearby... smoky. Makes me think of a rampant Fire Elemental got free from a MU. :geek:

Only nice thing, is that it created cloud cover at my house, and we get a sort of reprieve from the heat to an extent... though I hate to see that kind of devastation to our foresty areas. Worst part, Denver has had a rash of arson forest fires, and it might be that the guilty party has traveled down to our city and started up his nasty business down here.
Is it really the end, not some crazy dream?

Yeah we get bad wild fires out here in California. We don't do enough controlled burns in my honest opinion.

Smoot you have inspired me, and I wrote this spell just for you. Enjoy.

Scorch
D 2 Range: 15 feet + 5 feet per level
MU 2 Duration: Instantaneous

The caster ignites the air about the target, setting the target ablaze. Scorch deals 1d4 points of fire damage per caster level (Maximum 5d4), and also sets the target on fire dealing 1 point of fire damage each round. This fire can be extinguished by normal means.

I'm up in the northern reaches of California (Redding to be exact, grew up in Red Bluff). We had a fire in town just yesterday. D:

Where in Cali are you hiding my pastel pony pal?
Characters:
Himamura Jin (Night Wizard; Level 6 Great One/Level 1 Caster)
Benjamin d'Aide (BFRPG; level 5 cleric of the virtue of Sacrifice) - recurring hireling turned pseudo-DMPC

Morro Bay, the central coast. Funny to finally find another Californian after years on the internet.

These fires have gotten even more out of control. Even the AirForce Academy and areas just a few miles away are being evacuated. Ash was falling from the orange sky like a scene out of Silent Hill or a Nuclear Disaster Movie. We will be hosting a family tomorrow night because their home was in a evacuation zone.

Been a surreal afternoon/evening here. Freaky.
If anyone is interested in events I have been following here locally in Colorado Springs:

Hang in there. Or get out of there, whichever they tell you to do.

We are totally safe in our part of town, likely going to host another family that was displaced. I put out offer to house a few pets for people that are displaced.

It is really just unsettling to watch the calamity unfold here. Right now, it is already being called one of the worst events of the history of the region. No sign of control over the fires, lost some historical sites (Flying W Ranch burned to the ground), and home fires are jumping house to house.
Is it really the end, not some crazy dream?

Here you go Smoot another Warcraft classic.

Trueshot Aura
C 3 Range: 20' radius emanation
MU 4 Duration: 2 rounds/level

The caster is surrounded by a glowing aura granting keen eyesight and steady aim to ranged fighters. Allies within the spells radius gain a +2 bonus on ranged attack rolls and a +1 bonus on ranged damage rolls against enemies within 50'.
