I think some guidelines should exist to help the Game Master. There is no need for complicated rules, something like heavy armored platoons get an initiative penalty but reduces the damage suffered by 1 or 2 points; longer weapon platoons having an init bonus or the first attack when colliding with the enemy...

Although the word is in quotation marks it may give the wrong idea.
