One thing to consider is how they fit into the societies in which they interact. Dwarves, elves and halflings are all pretty close to human. Even half-orcs and such might be able to pass as human in a lot of circumstances.

How would they be seen? Would they have to wait outside of town on occasion or disguise themselves? Or are there large enough numbers of them that they are somewhat accepted in larger cities?

Just some thoughts. No matter what your take, it can make for interesting roleplaying.

So I'm working on writing up my Ravenkin document but I have a question - how do I cite Japanese and Buddhist scrolls and statues when I don't know who created them? I'm talking about documents and artifacts that are centuries old. For example: https://web.archive.org/web/20070123023 ... 363.1.html

I'm not sure Buddhists want their scrolls referenced in games.

I don't provide source for mythology and folklore.
Just when copying verbatim from a source.
Like if I wanted to put a line from Lovecraft in my Nightgaunt description.

The exact rules should be in the license.

I don't know about all Buddhists, but a former DM of mine back in the 90s was a Buddhist and loved RPGs.

To me, citing is specifically required for referencing copyrighted works or possibly certain well known works even if copyright has expired (or fairly recently expired). Your example of citing ancient texts/engravings is not something I would overly concern myself with. Something vague like "ancient texts refer to ... blah blah"... and that is about it.

Once you've done more work, be sure to bump up the release number, and attach both the odt and pdf to your first post.
Edit: added PDF to first post.

Up to version two! Could use some help coming up with ideas around a South American Native mythology version.

I think if you want South American "kenku" they are going to have to have a different look or be based upon a different sort of avian.

Ah that explains the lack of mythological references. I'm thinking I'll skip it for now and stay focused on the cultures I've built out. Thank you so much!
