What changed for r5? I got confused for a minute as this is now in Workshop, not the Space Force sub-forum.

Weapons, mainly. All the changes are at the end of the book.

At the risk of sounding sycophantic, I'm loving the look of this game system and the concept.

Especially love that you have stuck to a single number for the main stats and that you don't have negative modifiers for below average. Had many unsuccessful conversations with players around ignoring that it's a negative in other systems.

Is it possible to get in on the group to test it as a director?

You're in.

Check out Episode 1 and let me know in that thread what you think. It needs a lot... the maps, for instance, are nothing more than rough sketches. I have a retouched aerial photo that I can use, but only after I convert it to black and white.

I'm not just looking for playtesters... I'm looking for contributors. Like Basic Fantasy, this is an open source project.

SO I'm releasing a new version tonight, after three years of nothing. Much as I liked the rules I wrote for Space Force up to R5, I feel changing to a more "gamist" system actually cuts into the fun. I ran the original campaign under TSGS, and so I've adapted TSGS 2e to this game. I think I've gotten all the funny dice references and so forth rooted out.

Very cool. Shouldn't it have it's own forum section as it is not Basic Fantasy related?

It does. But the Workshop is where we share things we're creating. Discussion goes in the Space Force subforum.

Should that sub-forum still be hidden?
