When I got back into D&D back in 2005, this was what I ran my kids through. I was using my old basic book when I discovered BFRPG and changed rulebooks mid room .

Didn't somebody over at Dragonsfoot take this adventure and flesh it out using user contributions?

If they did, they didn't tell me. Or I forgot... but I think it's the former.

Sorry Chris.. I was referring the old keep example module in the D&D Basic book... the Haunted Keep. And I just looked at it and you were the editor on it actually.

I noticed there has been a new release - what changed? Also, what is the purpose of this revision? What are the things that are likely to be changed and towards what direction?

Well, this sort of thing doesn't interest me, so I skip ahead and re-read the new SG releases and Strongholds of Sorcery.

- Kingdoms Regions and Free Cities, Empire of Urd, end of first paragraph, correct spelling to "descendants"
- Rumors, first paragraph, change "g.p" to "gp"
- The Old Island Fortress, 28. The Tomb, First Alternate Version, 2nd-to-last paragraph, correct spelling of "moulder" to "molder"
- The Nameless Dungeon, 20. The Skeleton Room, last paragraph, correct spelling of "totalling" to "totaling"
- The Nameless Dungeon, 23. The Left Bent Room, 2nd-to-last paragraph, correct spelling of "totalling" to "totaling"
- The Nameless Dungeon, 45. The Giant Fly Room, last paragraph, correct "Flys" to "Flies"
- The Nameless Dungeon, 47. Room of the Pool, 5th paragraph, remove the extraneous "a" after the ";" in "In the bottom of the pool near the center is an open inlet for water; a overflow drains..."
- The Nameless Dungeon, Levels 2 & 3 Maps, blue rectangles on both maps

Fixed everything except the blue rectangles. They render as gray in the print version, which works fine for me.
