Not sure if this is the right place, but I noticed some things about the Scout that I thought I'd mention.
Requirements: To become a Scout, a character must have
a Strength score of 9 or higher, a Wisdom of 11 or higher,
and a Dexterity of 11 or higher. They may not wear metal
armor as it interferes with stealthy activities, nor may they
use shields of any sort. Leather armor is acceptable,
however. They may only use small malee weapons, the
shortbow, and the longbow. Humans, Elves, and Halflings
may become Rangers. If the Half-Humans supplement is
used, Half-Elves and Half-Orcs may also become Scouts.
melee is mispelled malee and it references Rangers in the Scout doc.

I like what I see, I just noticed a couple of things and hoped this would help correct the document for future use.

The comments thread for the Scout would be the correct place to post this. I'll merge it in there soon, but you may not be subscribed to it after I do, so I'll wait a bit so you can read this message.

Every work on the downloads page has a comment count; that count is a link that leads directly to the comments thread.

They are still two places that the scout is called a ranger on the first page, in the paragraph about extra attacks.

Also, on the third page on the upper left, the document is called Rangers and Paladins.

That's on the pdf, I haven't checked the odt.

I'm thinking of using this class in a game this weekend, but I have a couple of questions.

- Doesn't the +2 attack bonus and extra attacks at level 5 with bows make Scouts better combatants than fighters, or is there an assumption that fighters have weapon specialization for this to work?
- Is there any issue with this class part of a combination class? I'm thinking Magic-User/Scout.

Higher level bow usage has not been playtested; I'd say it's okay if you are also using Combat Options, but it may be a bit much otherwise.

I see no specific issues with combos involving Magic-User/Scouts.

Thanks, I'll try this out as M-U/Scout combo class. It'll be a while before we reach high levels, any issues I'll report back.

In the same time, scouts have a lower AB, so at lower level scouts may be better shooters than fighters, but it should even out with levels.

Fighters have higher HP, can use decent armor and melee weapons, so they still have a big advantage in combat at low levels.

On a XP vs XP comparisson, the Scout has advantage in attacks per round with bows against a bow specialist (fighter)

I would give the Scout its extra attacks at levels nor less than 8 and 16 if wanted to avoid this.

Against a bow specialist the Scout's attack bonus is superior only at first level.

Note that I'm treating as a bow specialist a fighter that uses 6 of his 7 specialization slots in bows without selecting other weapon as a specialization
